Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of Corteza (the website at corteza.app, the app at app.corteza.app, the Chrome extension and the Slack app), operated by Cristian Tumani (“Corteza”, “we”, “us”). By signing in or using Corteza you agree to them. If you use Corteza for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

1. The service

Corteza captures the outcomes of your meetings (decisions, action items, open questions and risks) from Google Meet transcripts and Gemini notes, uploads, the Chrome extension and Slack, and helps your team find and follow up on them. Corteza is currently in a private beta: features can change, and we may limit who can use it.

2. Accounts and workspaces

3. Your content

4. AI results

Corteza uses AI to find outcomes, assign owners and due dates, detect sensitive topics, link meetings and answer searches. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Review what matters before you rely on it, especially before acting on decisions about people. Corteza helps you remember and follow up; it doesn’t replace your judgement.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Corteza to:

We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put the service or other people at risk.

6. Third-party services

Corteza works with Google, Slack, Jira and AI and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We aren’t responsible for their availability or changes; if a provider changes its service, a Corteza feature may change or stop.

7. Fees

Corteza is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you in advance, with the price, and you’ll choose whether to continue. Nothing will be charged without your agreement.

8. Our property

Corteza’s software, design and brand belong to us. These terms don’t give you any right to them beyond using the service. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Corteza at any time, disconnect Google in Settings, and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may end or suspend access for a breach of these terms, or end the service with at least 30 days’ notice, during which you can ask for your data.

10. Disclaimer

Corteza is provided “as is” and “as available”, especially during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI results will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Corteza isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for important changes we’ll tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using Corteza after that, the new terms apply.
